Vacancy: Volunteer Trustees
Camphill School Aberdeen (CSA) are seeking to recruit enthusiastic individuals to join our Board of Trustees.
CSA provides a vibrant community supporting children and young people - many with additional support needs - to reach their fullest potential. We are part of the world-wide Camphill movement, founded over 80 years ago, here in Aberdeen.
Keen to continue this strong and enduring legacy we are seeking to recruit new members to join the Charity’s Board of Trustees. New Trustees would join the Board at an exciting time when our “Building Futures, Transforming Lives” campaign is progressing with new developments to expand our residential and workshop capabilities together with our new Social Enterprise – “Murtle Market”.
About the Role
Trustees are appointed to the Charity on a voluntary basis as non-executive Directors of Camphill School Aberdeen. The main function of the Board is to ensure sound governance and contribute to the shaping of the strategic development of the charity. All day-to-day activities are managed by the Executive Director and the Senior Management Team. As a board member you would be expected to attend regular Board meetings which are held every two months plus an annual review meeting. A full induction and training pack is provided to new trustees.
Applicants
Applicants should have a strong commitment to the work of CSA, along with skills and life-experience which could complement the diverse mix of talents within the wider Board. While not essential, we welcome applications from individuals who bring skills/experience in:
- Education and Social Care
- Corporate Governance
- Marketing and PR
