the School is managed by a Council of Management comprised of well respected professional people from out-with the School as well as internal senior co-workers. High level named contacts have been made with the local HM Inspectorate, The Scottish Care Commission, The Social Work Services Inspectorate, Grampian Health Board Psychiatric Service and the Police.
The School liaises closely with all local authorities of the pupils.
Annual meetings are held with representatives of Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire Councils with whom Camphill consult regarding level of fee, professional and school development.
Camphill have developed policy documents covering all the main areas of its work and these are available on request. An Annual Report and Development Plan are available on request.
The Camphill Schools in partnership with Aberdeen University offers a BA in Curative Education which is an accredited qualification for residential child care workers.
Through its policy of holding annual education reviews, close contact is maintained with both local authority personnel and parents. Psychologists, other professionals and parents are encouraged to visit pupils, fostering a positive close working relationship between all parties.
The School is accredited with the National Autistic Society and is regularly inspected by the Scottish Care Commission and Her Majesty’s Inspectorate.
