Camphill School Aberdeen (CSA) work to create communities in which vulnerable children and young adults, many with learning disabilities, can live, learn and work with others in healthy social relationships based on mutual care and respect.

COOK (Part time, 20 hours/week – Term time)

Working in our Murtle Estate (Bieldside), your primary task will be to prepare the lunchtime meal for a household of around 20 people. In doing so the following considerations must be made:

  • There may be pupils in the house so particular attention must be paid to health and safety
  • There will be some special dietary requirements to cater for
  • All meals should be healthy and nutritional
  • You will be required to ensure that the kitchen is left clean and tidy

Prior experience would be helpful but is not essential as support and training will be provided where necessary.

With an attractive remuneration package including sick pay and pension scheme, the hours of work for this position are:

Monday-Friday, 9.00 a.m.–1.00 p.m. (20 hours)

ESTATE AND FARM WORKER (2 posts, Full time - 40 hours/week)

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic individual to work on the estate and organically certificated farm at Murtle, Bieldside. Working as part of a small team, you will be responsible for undertaking work on the estate and farm grounds. It is anticipated that the successful candidate will be capable of undertaking farm tasks and work of a gardening nature. This will include, but is not restricted to, grass cutting, general estate tidiness, livestock care and crop work.

  • You would work autonomously although support will be provided by our Estate Manager and team
  • You would be expected to work flexibly depending upon the time of year/weather/crops
  • You would work to a high level of health and safety standards, maintaining an awareness of the children/young adults in our community at all times

Candidates should be happy to learn about organic production practices
