If you are considering a gap year, a Freiwilliges Soziales Jahr im Ausland /your Zivildienst - (ADiA, FSJ, EVS), a career break or would like to join our community as a co-worker and wish to get involved in the lives of our amazing children and adolescents with special needs and gifts? Then volunteering as a co-worker could be for you.

Every year volunteers join our community to share and experience our life and work. Help to make a real difference - it could change your life and ours.

First Steps

The following information is to help you decide whether volunteering as a co-worker for Camphill is for you. Please also read the FAQ's and relevent general sections first- links on left.

Volunteering as a co-worker...some practicalities

We are grateful to all those people who volunteer, in order to smooth the process we would like to ask you some simple questions.

Are you over 18?

In order to work in the CRSS you must be 18 or older on or before the date you will enter the CRSS.

Length of stay.

Priority is given to those who come for a year.

The minimum the CRSS takes volunteers for is 6 months, priority is given to those who wish to come for a year. If you only want to come for 3 months there may be limited vacancies for the School period April to early July. You can apply for these places after Christmas.

Unfortunately we can NOT offer places for Summer work as we have our Summer holiday from July to August.

Are you looking for a Practical Placement?

The CRSS does not offer practical placements (praktikums) to individuals. If you are applying as a professional please contact B.Porter directly.
