Camphill School Aberdeen -

Community of Learning

Camphill has a long history as a community of lifelong learning and continued professional development. As part of its commitment to training, the School offers core training and continued professional development trainings in specialised areas of work.  The School runs a Foundation Year Course for all co-workers in their first year of work in Camphill.

A number of practice placements are offered for social work students as well as teachers in training from Aberdeen University and Robert Gordon University.

Camphill organises and hosts a number of professional conferences with international speakers. Camphill also offers continued professional development training in autism and play therapy for staff within Camphill as well as from other organisations. Autism training is currently offered to schools, parents’ group and other professional bodies throughout the UK, and to other countries including South Africa, Lebanon and India.

Our staff are also registered with the SSSC. The Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) is the regulator for the social service workforce in Scotland. Their work means the people of Scotland can count on social services being provided by a trusted, skilled and confident workforce.
